Graduated from the Kazakh National Technical University named after K. Satpayev, specialising in Technology and Technique of Mineral Deposit Exploration (1999). He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Nazarbayev University.
He started his career in 1999 as a mechanic for repair of technological installations at the Atyrau oil pumping station. Then he worked as a mechanical engineer at the Atyrau Oil Pipeline Department.
In 2000-2002 - engineer of equipment and main pipelines operation service of Atyrau water treatment and water supply department.
From 2002 to 2005 he held the positions of engineer of the oil pipeline operation department, dispatcher of the central dispatch centre, engineer and diagnostics engineer, deputy head of the oil pipeline operation department of the Western branch of KazTransOil JSC.
In 2005-2007, he was Head of the Trunk Pipeline Operation Service and Chief Engineer of the Ural Oil Pipeline Directorate.From 2007 to 2008 - General Director of Terminalex LLP.
From 2008 to 2009 - Chief Engineer of the Mangistau oil pipeline department of the Western branch of KazTransOil JSC.
From 2009 to 2017 - Director of the Operations Department of KazTransOil JSC, Head of the Western Branch of KazTransOil JSC.
Since 2018 - Deputy General Director of KazTransOil JSC.
Since March 2023 - General Director (Chairman of the Management Board) of JSC Embamunaigas.
