Indicators of labor and environmental protection reporting meeting for 9 months of 2023 was held at the Head Office of JSC "Embamunaigas" (hereinafter - EMG or the Company). It was attended by the heads of production and structural divisions and responsible specialists of the central administration office, heads of contractor organizations.
In order to protect labor and the environment, Sabit Arynov, EMG's General Director, highlighted the main priorities in the overall production performance at an extended meeting dedicated to the accounting of activities carried out during the nine months since the beginning of the year.
"The main value for the company is the fulfillment of the production plan while keeping the worker's life safe. We are very responsible for the safety of production at Emba fields and we require this from the specialists of all contracting organizations. And only then we will be able to form our goal - a system of safe labor in the field of production," said S. Arynov.
The extended meeting analyzed EMG's production performance over the last 9 months for labor and environment compared to actuals for the same period in 2022.
JSC "Embamunaigas" has zero indicators for accidents related to production, as well as for dangerous situation threatening human life, fire safety, road accidents during the specified period.
Over the last 7 years, the emission of pollutants into the environment has decreased by 50%, flaring of crude gas - by 93%, reclamation of lands historically polluted with oil - by 717, 45 thousand tons.
At the reporting meeting of JSC "Embamunaigas" on the results of 9 months of 2023, a plan of specific EMG actions to be implemented in the future was elaborated. Instructions were given to relevant specialists.
It should be noted that at the traditional VIII Forum of General Directors "Leadership in the Development of Safety Culture" held on October 5 of the current year in Astana, the team of JSC "Embamunaigas" received a high award for its great contribution to environmental protection for the full completion of cleaning of historically contaminated land in the territory assigned under the contract and planting of about 9 thousand saplings in accordance with the Memorandum on the creation of a green belt in the area of the city of Atyrau.
In addition, the foreman of NGDU "Zhaiykmunaigas" Yerbolat Kuanyshaliyev was recognized as the best controller of the safety card "Korgau", which allows to manage risks in the field of labor and environmental protection, safety and received a special certificate.
