On November 23-24, 2023, JSC "Embamunaigas" (hereinafter EMG or the Company) hosted a media tour with the participation of representatives of national and regional media and bloggers.
Familiarization with the Company's activities began with a visit to the Center for Visualization of Production Processes. The Center was established to provide on-line control and monitoring of production facilities. The center's functionality is continuously expanding, and the technologies are being improved in order to better manage production activities and facilitate the work of personnel involved in data analysis.
Another EMG digital project that has proven its effectiveness is "Travel Management", to ensure safety on the roads. Thanks to a unified vehicle monitoring service, violations related to speeding by motor vehicles and special equipment in EMG are decreasing annually. For example, in the first 10 months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, the number of such violations decreased by 55%, and fuel and lubricant savings amounted to 20%.
The media representatives learned about the production activities and social conditions of Emba employees by visiting the facilities of NGDU Zhylyoiimunaigas - the associated petroleum gas treatment unit (APGTU) and the Caspiy Samaly shift camp. The УППНГ, which has a capacity of 150 million m3, is designed to utilize associated petroleum gas from the Prorva group of fields. The gas processing technology applied at the unit is environmentally safe and provides high efficiency of hydrogen sulfide removal. The whole process of gas treatment is fully automated and provides several degrees of protection against emergency situations.
This was followed by a press conference at which the managers of JSC "Embamunaigas" told about the technologies used to extract residual oil reserves, geological activities, personnel training, social responsibility of the enterprise and the Company's development plans.
In the first 10 months of 2023, JSC Embamunaigas fulfilled its oil production plan by 100.6%. Thanks to the successful implementation of a number of geological and technical measures, more than 189 thousand tons of black gold were additionally produced.
As a result of targeted preventive work to avoid accidents and incidents, occupational health and safety statistics have improved. During 10 months of the current year, EMG did not allow fatalities, fires and traffic accidents. One fact of occupational injuries was registered. All employees of EMG and contractors adhere to the "Vital Rules" - a set of key requirements for compliance with OHS.

Therefore, we are constantly improving our corporate culture in the field of industrial safety, labor and environmental protection through the introduction of safe work culture and best international practices," said Sabit Arynov, General Director of Embamunaigas JSC.
Embamunaigas JSC, as a conscientious nature user, allocates significant funds for environmental protection measures, including those aimed at restoring the productivity and value of disturbed lands, improving the environment and landscaping. In particular, over 145,000 tons of historically contaminated land was reclaimed in the first 10 months of this year, and EMG planted 23,950 seedlings on 28 hectares of land allocated by the Atyrau Oblast Akimat between 2022 and 2023.
JSC "Embamunaigas" is among the major taxpayers of Kazakhstan. Thus, for the period 2020 - 10 months of 2023, EMG paid tax payments to the budget in the amount of 480 billion tenge, and total expenditures on the development of infrastructure in the region for the same period amounted to 2.2 billion tenge.
JSC "Embamunaigas" adheres to an open position in relation to the media and considers the media tour as an extremely important and useful event, through which the public through the eyes of the media and bloggers could directly assess the activities of the oldest and largest enterprise in the region.

The official history of JSC "Embamunaigas" dates back to 1922, when the trust "Embaneft" was established to develop the Dossor and Makat fields. The main activities of the company: geological exploration, development of oil and gas fields; oil and gas production; oil and gas treatment. Embamunaigas JSC includes 6 production structural subdivisions in Atyrau city and 4 districts of Atyrau region: "Zhaiykmunaigas", "Dossormunaigas", "Kainarmunaigas", "Zhylyoymunaigas", "Embamunaigas" management and "Production Maintenance and Equipment Completion Department" (PM&E). The Company supplies oil produced for export and the domestic market. Crude oil is delivered to refineries in the Republic of Kazakhstan for the domestic market. Oil is exported via two main routes: the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) and Uzen-Atyrau-Samara (UAS) pipelines. Marketable gas is sold through the national operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of gas and gas supply - JSC NC Qazaq Gaz. From 2012 to 2022, Embamunaigas JSC spent more than KZT 1 trln. 472 billion KZT, and about 5 billion KZT 640 million KZT was allocated for the development of regional infrastructure.
