The Interactive Museum of Embamunaigas JSC (hereinafter – the Company) was visited by participants of the III National Kurultai, held in Atyrau.
The Interactive Museum of Company was opened in 2015. Its uniqueness is all data on the formation and development prospects of the Embamunaigas JSC, and the oil region as a whole are presented in the form of audio-visual elements. The museum consists of 12 sections, which present information about scientific expeditions, the history of the birth of oil Emba, the evolution of geological exploration, as well as modern achievements, digitalisation of production, dynasties of oilmen and many others.
Embamunaigas is the founder of Kazakhstan's oil industry and has been developing oil fields in the Atyrau region for over a century. In 2023, the Company executed its oil production plan by 100.6%, said Sabit Arynov, General Director of Embamunaigas JSC.
During the tour, the visitors received a lot of informative information and answers to their questions. The guests expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasised the importance of the museum in preserving the heritage of the oil region.
“Oil is one of the main components of the Atyrau region. And it is very encouraging that there is a museum of oil workers here. The history of Embamunaigas does not end here. I wish the Company new successes”, - expressed wishes in the book of honoured guests of the museum academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Dzhumadildayev.

Embamunaigas JSC – a subsidiary of KazMunaiGas National Company JSC. The official countdown of the history of Embamunaigas JSC has been conducted since 1922 – since the establishment of the Embaneft Trust for the development of the Dossor and Makat fields. The main activities of the company are: geological exploration, development of oil and gas fields; oil and gas production; oil and gas preparation. Embamunaigas JSC consists of 6 production structural divisions in the city of Atyrau and 4 districts of Atyrau region: “Zhaiykmunaigas”, “Dossormunaigas”, “Kaynarmunaigas”, “Zhylyoymunaigas”, Embamunayenergo Management and “Management of Production and Technical Maintenance and Equipment Configuration”. The Company supplies the extracted oil for export and the domestic market. Oil is supplied to the domestic market at the refineries of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Oil is exported via two main routes: through the pipelines of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) and Uzen-Atyrau-Samara (UAS). The national operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of gas and gas supply JSC NC “Qazaq Gaz” sold the commercial gas. From 2012 to 2022, Embamunaigas JSC allocated more than 1 trln. 472 bln. KZT for the payment of taxes to the national fund, the republican and local budgets, about 5 bln. 640 mln. KZT has been allocated for the development of regional infrastructure.
